A Wet Start

We all knew the ride was rain or shine, but looking at the weather the night before…no one was sure how this was going to work out.

Huge thunderstorms hammered the Holly Springs National Forest all night before the ride. Looking at the radar, the entire north half of the state was covered in angry yellows, oranges and reds. The forecast didn’t look good either! More rain predicted throughout the morning with a small break in the action around lunch time.

For once, the weather man was dead accurate. Despite the rain, almost 200 braved the storms to come ride.
